Sometimes we get to do something a little bit different.. This scheme looks at the demolition of an existing rear extension/conservatory and creation of a new rear extension at a property in Lydiate. The design looks to reorganise the flow of property by re-centering the kitchen as the heart, in turn enabling the remaining space to have views out into the substantial gardens with the creation of a large bespoke rear extension. New steel work enables the space to be opened up into a fully open plan family space.
The design is a simple pallet of timber cladding and brick finish to highlight the dark aluminium framed bi folds and provide a contrast to the existing rendered walls. A "fin style" A mono pitch roof with skylight windows and velux roof lights encapsulates and flood the space with light.
